The Caged Bird

Rating: 5.0

The Caged Bird

The caged bird has become free
Ascending upward
Rollicking with joy and delight
It will never be downward.

The bird sat in pensive mood
Within the bars of cage
And cursed the human beings
Out of sheer rage.

The frightening bird has got
The joy of carefree life
Kind man has cut the strings of cage
With a sharp knife.

I can’t make out the reason
Of caging a free bird
What joy shall we get
Making its lone from its pared.

The bird looks beautiful
In the branch of a green tree
Singing in melodious tone
Sitting carefree.

The bird has got freedom
After a long shrill cry
It will now enjoy its freedom
Soaring high and high.

A great write about freedom and the caged bird is a symbol of oppressed people by government, religion, family or friends. To have freedom is to have peace of our souls and spirit to embrace the joy of living.

Well written, we have no reasons to put natures creatures in cages.
