The Butterfly Poem by Terry Dawson

The Butterfly

Rating: 5.0

That
Erratic dancer on the wind, aloft
On chance-flapped wings;
Pauses now-and-then to sup from nectared cup,
By little sips but oft,
Knowing nothing of the joy it brings
To me; it buoys me up.

Touched me lightly like a butterfly as I read it, your words alighting for but a moment, giving me great pleasure. Thoroughly enjoyed this light-hearted poem, it's uplifting in spirit! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

This small poem dedicated to the charm of watching a butterfly carrying on with its activities quite oblivious of the world around. Just amazing. Thanks, Terry.
