The Butterfly Poem by Ryszarda Pelc

The Butterfly

Rating: 5.0

I saw last summer a butterfly’s dance.
I adored its softness, perfection,
Its finesse.

The colorful butterfly
Shiny in the beams of sunset,
Tired of dance and daily journey
Sat on the grass and swung gently,
Swayed by the summer breeze.

The whisper of wild flowers
The buzz of wasps,
The bees drone
A twitter, chirrup of the flying birds-
Composed the music.
The song of the summer bewitched us,
the butterfly and me.

'I am sorry, the day is going to end.
And summer too.'

'And life'
the butterfly whispered.
He roused.
He flew to the sky
He danced
once more
