The Brave One Poem by Bron Dayvid

The Brave One

They say the brave one isn’t one who doesn’t fear but acknowledges his fear takes it head on
He is brave not because he is a mighty warrior but because he is mentally strong
The Brave One isn’t always right he admits when he’s wrong
He realizes when the situation is no longer in his control… but
He doesn’t break and he doesn’t fold
Even if it is the world he must hold
And he isn’t afraid to ask for help
Because though he is strong he cannot possibly hold the world by himself
So the Brave One chooses his allies carefully a courageous few he looks up to… because
He cannot surround himself with individuals who he is braver than smarter than and more of a man than
His allies have to be greater than he because you are only as brave, smart, and strong
As the ones you surround yourself with…
They don’t call him the Brave One because of his accomplishments
It is his interior
To no man does he admit to be more superior
It is neither what he is capable of nor his ability
He is brave because he is humble…Humility
