The Boy Who Never Loved You Poem by Jessica Hastings

The Boy Who Never Loved You

Rating: 3.8

Isn't it awful
how the boy
who claims he still loves you
never loved you at all

isn't it awful
how the boy
who texts you that he still loves you
while lying next to his ex girlfriend
in his bed
full of sins

isn't it awful
how the boy
who claims he loved you
made you love him

isn't it awful
how the boy
who knows every scar of you
still claims that he loves you
while his words
sound more
like
a
hopeless
serenade
to you

Is love an illusion? Infatuation? Adolescent lovers fall easy prey to deception, all in the name of love. Alas! Never lose trust on love. When it comes, it comes with divine serenity. It makes you love songs, love music, love people, love poetry, love God and of course, love the man/woman with intense physical and spiritual attraction. Being in that state is heavenly.
