The Big Match Poem by Noah Sutherland

The Big Match

Rating: 5.0

I've just been to play the big match,
But it wasn't basketball or catch,
It was football my favourite game,
all the other sports are lame.

We passed, we ran, we kicked, we shot,
We took penalties and free-kicks, we did the whole lot,
Football is my favourite sport,
This was a battle and we really fought.

Eventually we did win,
That was because we would never give in,
I know you didn't think it was catch, '
I wish you were here to see the big match.
