The Best Choice Poem by Miroslava Odalovic

The Best Choice

This breath is wind tied
no longer found
in silent kisses
gone in love lost tides

I swear I've always wanted
to breathe in a sunrise
to walk the beams
and to spell your name
after the dawn

I loved you I hated you
and I still do
even though now
it makes no difference at all

You loved me you hated me
and I guess you still do
both swelling in pain
of two faced masks

And even if we never said goodbye
I painfully knew
that 48 hours of your silence
always meant a never again from you
I've been through your punishment before

And even if we never said goodbye
as goodbyes take time we never had
I painfully knew
the rules of the game
'seek no reasons they would not help'
'be silent when hurt and silent when you hurt'

Both of which make a scope of choices
to target chosen be
or to pick up the best... choice?
