The Bencher Poem by Yewande Adedokun

The Bencher

I have been told to sit on the back bench
I sit among the blinds and they say Am worse than them
That I lost my vision on the past, present and future
Now, it is not fair, they think me less for myself
They say I have no potential
They did not even ask me
I am the one every blind man gives direction
I have been mocked

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have so many potentials as a person, but I have found myself in a country where I have to beg for a platform to use it.
