The Bells Of Christmas Poem by Jean Penner

The Bells Of Christmas

Hear the bells of Christmas,
They are softly ringing clear,
Echoing the love of God,
Whose grace is always near.

Their song resounds a message,
Of hope with every ring,
Coming down from heaven,
The carols of a King.

I hear them gently ringing,
When a heart is full of pain,
Reminding of his faithfulness,
He never will refrain.

I hear the peaceful resonance,
With every falling tear,
For his hands not only hold the bells,
But also hold us near.

For the Master of the music,
Plays lyrics full of love,
A melody which mangifies,
The message of a dove.

Be soft, and listen for the bells,
They are ringing clear,
Echoing the love of God,
Whose grace is always near.

This is a beautiful poem Jean, it brings us down to earth, and makes us realise how easily it is to forget what Christmas is all about, the birth of Christ. I love bells, especially at Christmas. Thanks for posting this one. Love Ernestine XXX
