The Beginning Of An Age Poem by Garrett Westcott

The Beginning Of An Age

(Poem of a future age)

Peace now rests
On all who fear the Lord
The day is now upon us
He has opened up the door

The gates were made of pearl
The streets made of gold
Now the rest of life
Is waiting to unfold

Green are the pastures
The trees are all in bloom
Everyone has a purpose
Everyone has a home

Jesus walks beside us
The Shepherd, Priest, and King
Hymns of joy and peace
To our God do we sing

The Father gave His blessing
To the children of the Lamb
He has given us salvation
In His presence do we stand

The day of our Savior
Was a mighty day indeed
He judged all the wicked
And set the righteous free

Now were all in heaven
Salvation is secure
Look at all the blessings
On the heavens and the earth

No one fears tomorrow
Everyone's at peace
Just as it was written
All sorrow has finally ceased

Praises to the King
The joy of our hearts
At the beginning of an age
Now our lives do start
