The Beggar Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Beggar

Rating: 5.0

There is no dearth
Of intelligent people on earth
They invent new way
To make others fool in any way

The people show some leniency
Throw coins at beggar to show pity
Beggar sits with sadness
To show as if he has lot many things to face

Such people adopt many innovative ways
Stand at cross road and pray
For generous donation
With different tactics and rational

Some days back it was reported
The beggar left behind large cash collected
Through begging as unclaimed
The beggar status was through out maintained

The children are forced in show
Form infant stage, they are allowed to grow
With some style to adopt in public
The beggar's profession remains symbolic
