The Beauty Outside Of Me Poem by Ulysses Cabinatan

The Beauty Outside Of Me

When my ego swells
I go out of my room
And see what is outside of me
I'm very small compared
To the things which I didn't create
The mountains
The trees
The rivers
The seas

When my ego swells
I ponder what is outside of me
The sky
The stars
The planets
The universe
The galaxy

So when my ego dwells
too much of myself
I then ponder about what is outside of me
My ego, vexes and worries are too small
Compared to the
vastness of reality

the beauty outside of me
taught me what is true humility
