The Beauty In You Is You Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

The Beauty In You Is You

If most wondrous thing about world be world,
The charming most a charm in you is you.
I see this, my eyes with your beauty blurred,
Truth has own ways to show its truthful hue.
You might not this believe— head over heart,
The world may not in my belief me back,
Heart‘s all you back if head shows tricky art,
With heart therefore let me this crossword crack.
(I aught deal with women way as they are,
(And never once as I'd like them to be,
(There's one way man with women can go far:
(Calling puddles ponds, and if need be, sea!)
Sure, everything in you is doubtless beau,
And beauteous most spot in you is you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A husband can never win argument with his wife if he cares for marital bliss, and never once in a bedroom. One such hubby in this sonnet succumbs, but he defends with his own logic.
