The Beast Poem by Tristan Moore

The Beast

There's this beast inside me
He's calling my name
He's cursing my name
There's this beast inside me
Have I gone insane
Day after day I push, he shoves
I struggle to maitain control
There's this beast inside me
He's devouring my soul
I fight on knowing I am weaker
But there's no here to help push him deeper
There isn't much left in my soul to give
The beast is winning
Maybe I should give
Throw in the towel
Just let it be be done
Give the beast my soul
So I won't hear his howl
