The Banquet Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Banquet

A banquet for two,
A joyous occasion;
Of wine foe a lamb,
A momentous victory;
A little wine curbs gallstones.
I have my mind on you and,
You have your mind on me too;
So, we have to meet one day.

The juice of fruits,
Distilled from honey;
Like a drink for two at a banquet.
I have my mind on you,
Like the lamb which was sacrificed;
You have your mind on me too like,
The food which was eaten;
This is the mixture of the muse that bubbles.
A banquet for two,
The joy of a muse;
True love is all that takes us to this banquet.
