The Awakening Poem by simon thorpe

The Awakening

Rating: 5.0

An awakening of the soul to find
A sensual unveiling of the mind,
The mysteries of life explained,
Inner knowledge finally unchained.
The sun rises and sets in my heart,
Dark dawns to day, an integral part,
Adventures to be had, dreams to be realised,
Positivity is key, negativety chastised.
I dare to dream and dream to dare,
To waltz through nature's garden without a care,
Life isn't all sweetness and light
But if we all march together, we can resist evils might.
There is no black or white, just shades of grey,
The pen outwits the sword come what may,
The children's laughter, outpouring of fun,
The essence if life captured like the rising of the sun.
