The Art Of Praying Poem by Dr John Celes

The Art Of Praying

Light a candle and then pray;
Place a garland for the Lord;
Pray with mind freed from the world;
Say a rosary by heart.

Let the light inspire like grace;
Let the fragrance please Lord Christ;
Kneel and pray in simple words;
Plead with God to save your soul.

Thank the Lord for all He does;
Love is God and God loves man;
Put your trust and hope in Christ;
God accepts us as we are!

Fold your hands and bow your head;
Prostrate on the holy ground;
Beat your chest and feel remorse;
Promise God you'll sin no more.

Worrying cannot ease our life;
Human strength may fail at times;
If God sees your contrite heart,
Blessings rain on devout souls.
