The Angels Arc Poem by ROOP REKHA BHASKAR

The Angels Arc

Rating: 4.0

The rainbow peeks through mists of cloud;
A gateway to the Mighty Heavens;
Perhaps a painted path, to dreamlands in the sky.
The sun’s glimmering spectra, merging with
Tiny gold droplets and beads of silver dew drops.
“Whence from and where from you appear? ”
Bequeath no reason for your presence.
The beaming smile of colors is the only answer you have.

The myriad colors dance, with the misty tufts of clouds;
And sweeps the skies like an arc; and then,
Shyly trails behind mountains, seeking sanctum.
Sometimes this beauty caresses the river;
And the rippling reflection, disappears with a grin,
Drowning in emerald waters, tailing pots of gold.

Seldom does a magnificent full circle appear, that unite the trimmings half;
So rare a view that few, chance to glimpse it in their eye.
The haloed beauty is caught in lens, by mankind, all around.
Why do you tease with games we cannot play?
And take refuge in sanctuaries, impossible to touch?
You are bound by no questions, and resign to yourself.
You are the Angels Arc and exist to bring a smile,
And for all mankind to exclaim in delight!

A lovely poem on a rainbow! The spectrum of colours that arch from one end of the sky to the other, soon after or just before a rain is something dazzling to view! The young and the aged take equal pleasure at the sight of the rainbow that appears at short notice in the sky! You have unravelled the great beauty and mystery of this Heaven's spectacular arch! Enjoyed much! A 10
