The Angel With No Wings

Liven life
came into your life
You said
you was glad I was there.
I came to you
with a lot of grief,
lonely in despair.
You said
I was like an angel
you needed.
I said 'I'll be there'.
Came to you
asked for your love
I was glad
the answer was yes.
Now your gone
you never believed
me when I said
I was sorry.
I love
you, and I
still care.
Certain people
ruined are life
because they know
that we still care.
I know you don't
believe me when I said
I love you.But I know
It's still there.

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
