We live in a world where progress
Becomes more technical every day
We forget about the ‘olden’ days
With the old-fashioned type of ways

There are blackberries and blueberries
Oh Lord, I can’t keep up
I would prefer to smell the coffee
As I sip it from my cup

Cars are getting fancier but must be
Efficient now to afford to drive
Folks are always in a hurry
To see how quickly they can arrive

So isn’t it beautiful and refreshing
When you see much different ways
Such as the Amish way of life
Going back into the ‘olden’ days?

If we could all turn back the clocks
Live with these folks for just awhile
Relax and not worry so much
We would enjoy the Amish lifestyle!
