The Alien Parents Poem by Chris Mann

The Alien Parents

Rating: 0.5

I saw a baby today
An alien gave birth to it
It spewed it out with blood and faecal matter
And bile and grime and soda and drugs
And everything else it had created done or seen
The baby spread open it’s arms and cried “Mother! ”
“What have you done? You who said never to become has become”
Then the baby went to sleep, but died at the age of 13
After it realised what life means
The aliens all wept, their green arms covering their green faces
Any slowly died after realising what creating life means
