The Alchemist Poem by RAJ NANDY

The Alchemist

THE ALCHEMIST

Those alchemists of days of old,
Tried desperately to transform metals
to gold!
But all their efforts remained futile, -
Like those who tried to excavate gold
from the Nile!
While I continue to marvel at His magical
powers,
When I see Him perform during the night;
As He directs those scorching rays of the
sun,
On that barren moon, to make it bright!
He transforms those piercing solar rays,
Into golden beams, on moonlit nights,
To bathe our earth with its golden sheen,
Creating a wondrous magical scene
before our sight!
While all our boast of physics and chemistry,
Remains dwarfed before His supreme alchemy!
