The Ace Poem by Jeffery Bullard

The Ace

Rating: 5.0

I am the suit
That does not fail
I am under valued
In a game of cards
Pushed to the brink of extinction
I fight on
For only a handful
Of the race
Can see our importance
We hide in the shadows
And wait for those fated
We 13 of the Spade
And I but only one
The ace is my calling card
For it is the most loyal
