The Abandoned Paradise Poem by Basu Gautam

The Abandoned Paradise

As I wait for the darkness to leave
Eagerly oh! How I look for corruption to die
And never reincarnate to interrupt my dreams
My Himalayan dreams I never can say good-bye
The visions of the Tathagata, the guide
To face the battle, we all fight inside
The land of abandoned paradise
As I hear the voices of ignorance and distress
They all assemble together strong and adamant
All I can offer them is my own weaknesses and feeble hands
My tears as they flow inside of me and dry
Would you still see me cry?
For the abandoned
For the paradise
