That Word Said Poem by lovey ahuja

That Word Said

A word said to some,
Is like a droplet of saliva,
A slip of the tongue,
Or a spit on the face of a chance;

A word base on impulse,
Or an immediate response,
A word of fleeting promise,
An excuse or alibi;

A word said now,
Then tomorrow it is gone,
It is nothing
But a forgotten word of none,
Of undiscerning mind;

Nevertheless, to the rest
It is as valuable
As the heart that speaks,
Through the aid of friendly lips;

A considered forget-me-not
Tied on a finger,
So not to fiddle later,
When circumstance plays a teaser;

Maybe just like my word,
When I told you 'I fell for you! '
Yeah, I'm more than happy
To stick to you like glue;

Even if it is not expected,
Even if it is not wanted,
I give my word my best,
Even if you do not believe.
