That Rabbit Poem by Dean Meredith

That Rabbit

The August light
Burned like acid
A fool twiddled
His legs shook
She looked happy
On that big dark screen
Like a giant lovers lane
Within his mind
And she was
His star of everything
And he was
Her dying serpent
And she remained
Amazingly cute
You know
Like a rabbit
Oh he'd dig for her
And then
He could
Finally rest
