That Man I Once Knew Poem by Katherine Bryce

That Man I Once Knew

Rating: 3.5

After forgetting for so long,
I am now starting to remember,
after the lines were drawn,
they've now been erased.

Now that you're back,
I'm starting to remember,
everything I felt for you.

I'm not saying I feel that way,
I'm saying I remember why I did.

I remember who you were.

That man you once were,
made my days oh so bright.

That man I once knew,
could turn the storm clouds away,
just for me.

That man I once knew,
he had me forget everything that I once knew,
that man I once knew,
sometimes it's hard to believe that man was you.

Thank you, in all honesty, I wasn't too sure about repeating That man I once knew but I'm glad you think it made the poem stronger :)
