That Dream Poem by Aric Beers

That Dream

They were taken, all my friends
I was scared they'd meet their ends
So I ran in to try to help
But I was just a whelp
They tossed me here and there
Against the wall and every chair
Until they decided they were done
I guess I wasn't too much fun
They threw me in a cell
Dead as far as they could tell
But when I opened my eyes
I was surrounded by girls and guys
My friends were there by my side
But for shame I tried to hide
I went in to save but I failed
Came to set free but got jailed
My only escape was when I awoke
Wish that dream was just a joke
