That Day Poem by Timothy Honeycutt

That Day

I look beyond the sun and stars;
I wonder just where heaven is far?
Then I think of that wonderful day,
When angels blow trumpets and the world is happy and gay.
Free from this world we will be,
No more chains will hold and we’ll be free.
All those who are in the sea of deep and earth asleep,
They shall find their heavenly keep.
We shall be free of our earthly bind,
The road to heaven we shall find.
