I wished upon a star for someone to kiss
For someone to hold
For someone to cherish
For someone to protect
For someone to make me smile
For someone to share memories and tragedies with
For someone to wipe my tears and the pain away
But I got you instead Sometimes I wonder why because I don’t deserve you because you are all these and much more
You are someone who doesn’t judge me
Someone who rebukes me
Someone who guides me
And someone who isn’t embarrassed by me
Someone who doesn’t care about what people say about us
Someone who sees through me to my good side and rebukes my bad side
I thought people like you don’t exist
But now looking at you
I know they are real
Thank you for accepting me the way I am
And thank you wishing star for giving me more than I bargained for.
