You were always there for me
When times were very bad;
No matter what the situation was,
It was you I always had.

You always paid attention,
And allowed me to be myself,
In certain ways I couldn't be
With anybody else.

When I was at my worst,
And wasn't feeling strong,
You came along and gave me strength
That helped me to go on.

I'm glad I've had the chance
To know someone like you;
Someone I could depend on;
Someone so pure and true.

If ever I should wonder
Whether life has been worthwhile,
I'll quickly stop to think of you,
And then begin to smile.

Now I'd like to add
Just a few more things:

Thanks—for being a perfect friend,
And thanks—for all the joy you bring.

Thanks—for everything.
