Than Your Dog You Do Not Have A Truer Friend Poem by Francis Duggan

Than Your Dog You Do Not Have A Truer Friend

Rating: 5.0

A pat and a few kind words and a good feed every day
The price of his friendship is quite cheap one must say
He doesn't care what status in life you attain
For as long as he'll live as your friend he'll remain.

Honest with his feelings not one to pretend
Than your dog you do not have a truer friend
Even when you do scold him you he quickly forgive
He will remain as your friend for as long as he live.

He does not love you for your wealth or your fame
He looks up to you as if your's is a World renowned name
He does not admire you for the size of your house or your car
He merely loves you for the person you are.

His love for you is unconditional for that is his way
For a few kind words and a pat and a good feed every day
For as long as he lives to you he will be true
He will love and admire you and look up to you.
