Terra Incognita Poem by Inday Prising

Terra Incognita

* unknown land

As i sit here listening to whispers
uttered from a thousand years
by creatures who can live forever
I feel your presence
enveloping me
I smell your scent
as it grabs me
from behind and embrace
what's left of me

The lyres start to play
that familiar melody
and I hear the
sounds of youth
rejoicing
along with its every note

Thunder hit me
and made me conceive
that I would wait for you
under the stars,
under the night,
behind these smokes mirrors
I breath with life
beneath the thousand
yellow lights

where they let lightning
and sounds collide.
