Ten Little Red Ants Poem by Juan Olivarez

Ten Little Red Ants

Ten little red ants, round the campfire light,
Telling ghost stories, all through the night.
Scaring each other nearly to death,
Until they are panting, and out of breath.

The ghostly grasshopper, of Indigo lake,
The rattling chains of the phantom snake.
But the scariest story of them all,
Are the zombie termites residing in walls.

Ten little red ants, with saucer eyes,
Off in the woods you can hear their cries.
Scaring each other nearly to death,
Until they are panting, and out of breath.
