Temptation Poem by Misty Wills

Temptation

I found a love
A love so true and pure
A love which has conquered much more
Than it should ever have endured.

A love that could not unravel
One that could never fade
Turned into a twisted heart
From which temptation had persuade.

Do I stay here and fight this fight
Or jump the fence and ride
Ride the wave of this temptation
And risk the loss of love and pride.

The temptation brings such joy
Although I know its wrong
Makes the love I have at hand
Feel more weak than strong

If I follow my head I jump the fence
Let temptation have its way
If I follow my heart I swallow this lust
I keep my love and stay..
