Temporary Crowns Poem by Sana Olivia Hernandez

Temporary Crowns

Man, I hate
Temporary crowns.

I can't even smile,
I can only frown.

A bad cavity,
made me get a root canal.

My teeth were dark,
But straight.
They're crooked now.

I could eat a whole cow,
Before the root canal.
Now I can't eat nothin'
Any how.

Man, I hate
Temporary crowns...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wanted to start writing short, simple poems about everyday things like my favorite poet Langston Hughes. And since I've got a bad temporary crown down on my front tooth that's buggin' me, I decided to write about that.
