Telling You Poem by Garrett Nakai

Telling You

My Darken Eyes Have Blacken My Sight,
I Need A Light For This Night,
I Saw My Love At First Fright,
Her Eyes Made Me Feel So Bright,
My Heart Felt Weightless And Light,
I Could Of Drifted Off Into Space,
Just Staring At Her Face,
I Saved Myself From Floating Off From The Base,
I Won This Race,
Let's Get Out Of This Place,
Just Me And You,
I Want This Love To Be True,
Because I'm Done Feeling Like Glue,
Stuck To Whatever I'm Glued To,
That's The Floor And It's Cold,
I Just Want You To Hold,
I Don't Want Our Hearts To Break Or Fold,
You Make Me Not To Think Off All The Gold,
You Outlined My Mold,
I'm Getting Tired Of Being Told,
I Have Harsh Words,
It Always Makes Me Want To Hurl,
I Want To Forget What They Say,
And Go Off Into Our Own World,
Living Our Own Life,
Maybe You Could Be My Wife,
With This Love We'll Cut This Cake With This Knife,
I Love You And Hope We Start At The Starting Line.
