Tell Me Your Secret Poem by Elia Michael

Tell Me Your Secret

What is the secret? Tell me if you know,
How I can live a life of happiness,
Instead of one of sorrow, pain and woe;
Instead of this all-consuming sadness?

I look at your face with its constant smiles,
And I admire how you are able to deal
With life's adversities, with all its trials;
How do you carry on with fervent zeal?

And if you know, please tell me the secret;
Perhaps it is so easy in your eyes,
Disclose it, so I too can interpret
This life in joyous mood, with fewer sighs.

What priceless secret is it you possess?
Oh I so envy you, I do confess.
