Teenage Years Poem by lonely love

Teenage Years

Why did we have to grow up
Why could'nt we just stay young
Our friendships were all we worried about
Just getting drunk and having fun

But now that we are older
we have so many hardships to face
Life is so stressful now
its such a hectic place

Friends that once were now are not
You feel you've given all you've got
You reminis on times gone by
and often think and wonder why
Are we dealt and even share
and do we really even care

Who can you trust and who can you call
What happened to being the 'belle of the ball'
All we have left are memories now
Of a time when things were better somehow
You remember your teenage years
That favourite song brings you to tears

Do you have regrets about the way it turned out
Do you wish you had of asked that person out
Do you wish you could change anything
Do you wish you had of said ' i'll give you a ring'

Would anything have changed if you'd said yes instead of no
Would anything have changed if you hadn't let go
What if you knew these answers would you take the risk
Would you want to find out or would you rather reminis?
