Tectonic Child Poem by Matthew Foor

Tectonic Child

A seemingly impassable
Solo Tectonic child
Reaches
Stretches for
The green earths
Light bulb

Phantasmagorical clouds
Draw eyes of wonder
As they hug the monumentous
Mountain
Frigid
With iced ridges

Outlandish blue skies
Cut by grandiose rays
Of golden-red beams

Monarch butterflies
The size of eagles
Flutter over prehistoric flowers
Blooming
Reaching the size
Of a compact car

Ravenous flowers that
Drink the suns
Lifeblood
As they dance
To Mother Nature's
Rhythm

In this realm
Of vibrance
The perfect circle of red fire
Touches all
That
Dwell
Here
