Tears Of The Heart Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Tears Of The Heart

Tears of the heart crying
Shattered bloodless sighing
Evaporated the lovers dreams
Loneliness just sits there and screams
Every blood red drop
Without loves tap to make it stop
Confused
Bemused
Unknowing which way is up
Having once drunk from loves cup
The tears of the heart still cry
Still they know not why
Once involved
Now dissolved
Those tears still flow
No matter how old we grow
Maybe it is from the memory
Of things that were meant to be
Hearts cry tears
We confront our fears
Slowly bit by bit we die
All the time we cry
Yes the tears of the hearts crying
Shattered bloodless always sighing
