Tears Of Life Poem by douglas lewis

Tears Of Life

Closed eyes,
A dam to burst
A universe
Of water stars,
Spheres with splashing tails
That bathe an arid moon.
Its craters fill,
Like peacock fans
With iridescent pools.
The valley floors
A rille of royalty,
The blue blood
Coursing through their veins.
Two orbs drain
To birth another one.
Not all tears fall in vain.
