Tears And Sorrow Poem by Linda Fleming

Tears And Sorrow

In the corner of a lonely room
my colored life of shame and gloom.
So heavy were the burdens felt;
I thought I'd died and gone to hell.

My shoulders heavy with all the weight,
one more day, is this my fate.
Tears flowed to fill a stream,
and at long last I closed my eyes to dream.

I prayed for another time a different place,
a better chance to run the race.
Our Lord reached down with all His love,
His Blessed Assurance from above.

He pulled me from my place of doom,
and into a world where I could move.
Onward, now a new day dawning,
Forward always, I felt His calling.

No looking back but only to grow,
reaching forward a new tomorrow I'm shown.
Embracing the world with open heart
Thanking my Lord for a brand new start.
