Tears Poem by Soubhagyabanta Maharana

Tears

Sometimes the fire of anger * TEARS *
Gets extinguished by tears
Of pity and piety
To be grateful at once
Like a gentle body which fondles
With its faithful shadow.

While searching for the gist of tears
Meaning hides itself in the word
The word hides its truth
In the illusion
And illusion hides the reality
In the personality of man
To glorify introspection of life.

Amid laughter, weeping and sorrow
Tears dazzle like a sharp knife
To look forward for its onward assault.
At times the tears
Turn into a time-bomb
Vowed to kill the negative emotions
That pulsate the heart tremendously.

In the fall of a far- flung empire
Or in managing an unstable family
Of dissensions and disputes
Tears become the future of blood
The bond of lasting relationship
The perpetual song of
Enduring love for humanity.
