Tear Jerker Weddings And Rib Tickling Funerals Poem by Chester Maynes

Tear Jerker Weddings And Rib Tickling Funerals

Green lights of the traffic-signs advanced them forward
Life on the busy road has challenges and barriers
One falls and the other still stands
There are periods of pain and gain

Humped stones and unbolted man-holes
They can protect, they can kill
Driver must read the cautions and warnings
Some are racers in ruthless driving

When eyes flout to see what’s wrong
Filling their transports of more fuel
Intimidating the paths of curves and intersections
Accidents may kill them and rob their better times

They turn away from major paths and follow shortcuts
All over their heads are easy ways to get finer things in life
They have mistakes, they have apprehensions
Some end in tear jerker weddings and rib tickling funerals
