Teachers are sacred lamps for all nations,
Who burn incessantly,
emitting light of knowledge
selflessly to children of all ages around,
Until the wick lasts,
Or the oil is consumed, or both,
In every season, and inclement weather,
Winds and storms of life,
expecting nothing in return,
except some respect
due to the noble profession
called teaching.
