Tea Party Poem by Brittaney Static

Tea Party

Rating: 5.0

I thank you
Thank you very much, sir
I want you to know I hold you dear
In this heart of stone
In this heart where guilt
Conquers all
And self loathing joins for tea.
You're the king
The king of hearts
You have let go but I have yet to
Untie the reigns
Untie the reigns and set this burden free
Thank you, sir
Thank you.
For living your life, sir.
Leaving me here
Wrapping my heart in blankets
With no soul to help me melt the ice.

reins, reigns, I think I like the regal statement... No-one rules the unwilling! Ivan
