Tangible Poem by Adrianne Quinlan

Tangible

Rating: 0.5

As we look out
Over the quiet lake
There is no distinguishing
Water from sky.
Clouds and water blend
To a perfect frothy white.
Vows administered
By the sun's buried light.

Tangible it seems
Like frost of butter cream
In an immense dessert
Of the gods.
And now
The sun peeks through
To an inverted heart-shaped flame
In a backdropp of imperfect blue.

Looking up
At the precise moment
Presented a gift
To just we lucky two.

And as we close our eyes
And make a wish,
We blow.
The clouds reunite.
Our serving determined
By rain, wind and snow.
