May Tamils globally
Pray God and celebrate
This Day most cheerfully
With thanks, renouncing hate.

May love afill their hearts,
And for their motherland;
May dance and song-mixed arts
Come from their magic wand.

May Tamils toil and till
The land ear-marked by God,
And prosper more by will
And righteousness sans rod.

May Tamils truly get
The glory they deserve;
May sun in life nev'r set,
And zeal help them all serve.
