TAMANNA

dheere dheere jo ye hawa aai hai,
is zameen mein ek sard lekar
wo phool jo mene thaa chuna in haanthon mein,
wo khoon sa beh raha hai mujhe dard dekar

tere saaye ki parchaai mein nahi hun ab,
intzaar ki ghadiyon ne to chaandh ko hai baanta
tu ajaa mere paas ek diya sa jala de kisi kone mein
andhere ne kaha hai ab, 'kuch nazar nahi hai aata! '

tu jaan le ke tu kabhi ye jaan na sakegi,
ki kitna hun mein beh gaya apne aap mein
in raahon se kon se alfaaz karenge zikra,
aaja tu or leja ye gulaab kisi khwaab mein

khudd ko hai likh diya mene ek kaagaz ke kinaare,
phir bhi ye kuch kam se lagte hain
dard bhi chal pada hai ek naye zakhm ki talaash mein,
ab to zyaada bhi kam hai, ye gam hum rakhte hai

bta dena agar mujhe meri maut se pehle,
aaogi kya tum? kya tum krogi izhaar?
bta do ab meri aakhri saans hai bolti,
kya tumhe hai mujhse pyaar?

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
